OnePlus is preparing to introduce its Internet of Things (IoT) products in India. The brand has recently announced its partnership with Optiemus Electronics Ltd. (OEL) to locally manufacture premium Internet of Things (IoT) devices in India. This partnership will focus on increasing localised manufacturing under its Project Starlight initiative. As part of this collaboration, OnePlus will start manufacturing its IoT products like True Wireless Stereo (TWS) devices and wireless neckbands at a facility in Noida.
This is OnePlus’ existing manufacturing operations for smartphones in the country. As shared by OnePlus, the first product to be introduced will be the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 neckband. The wearable device is said to offer ultra-low latency, immersive bass, and crystal-clear audio. The wireless neckband will likely provide style and comfort at an affordable price, making it a solid choice for a wide range of Indian consumers.
The brand added that the partnership with Optiemus Electronics will reduce costs and increase the localisation of its Bill of Materials (BOM). It will also enhance its supply chain resilience by streamlining the manufacturing processes.
Robin Liu, CEO of OnePlus India, said, “At OnePlus, India has always been at the heart of our journey. Our collaboration with OEL to manufacture IoT products locally reflects our commitment to Project Starlight. This partnership is not just about technology—it’s about empowering local communities, fostering innovation, and delivering smarter, more connected experiences for our India community.”

It will feature Bluetooth 5.4 with a range of up to 10 meters, Google Fast Pair and support AAC and SBC audio codecs. The earphones also have magnetic controls, a button with multiple press functions, and an in-line remote.
Additionally, it will be backed by a battery capacity of 220mAh and is claimed to offer a total playback time of up to 36 hours.
