One UI 7 samsung
After rolling out the One UI 7 update to select devices, Samsung is now reportedly gearing up for the early launch of a next-generation software update, One UI 8. As per reports citing tipster Tarun Vats, the One UI 8 beta version could roll out next month. Interestingly, this aligns with Google’s Android 16 release timeline.
If these claims are believed to be true, it seems that with the One UI 8, the company might be trying to regain confidence among its global user base after the delayed One UI 7 update. As per the reports, the One UI 8 update could make its debut by August or September.
The leaks also suggest that the company may introduce the One UI 8 update with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. However, the company has not confirmed any of the details at the moment.
Speaking of what will be new, the reports suggest that the upcoming update is expected to focus more on incremental improvements. Sources suggest One UI 8 will deliver performance refinements, smoother animations, and UI polish, making it a lighter update that could be easier to test and roll out quickly.
However, the One UI 8.5 is said to be the biggest update by the South Korean smartphone maker. This update will reportedly launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. The update may include deeper AI integration and device-specific enhancements tailored to Samsung’s next-generation flagship lineup.
Meanwhile, the company is expected to introduce the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 in July at the Unpacked 2025 event. Both the devices are said to feature some massive upgrades in terms of camera and display. As per the reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 may get a 200MP primary shooter while Z Flip 7 may get 50MP primary shooter. Both devices are also said to debut with added durability and AI features.
