Nothing has introduced its flagship wireless earbuds, the Ear (3). The new TWS comes with Super Mic technology, a redesigned transparent aesthetic enhanced with metal elements, and significant improvements in sound, connectivity, and battery life as compared to its predecessor.
The Super Mic system is integrated into the charging case and uses dual microphones with ambient noise filtering to isolate the user’s voice, even in noisy environments up to 95 dB. It also gets a dedicated TALK button that allows users to activate the mic for calls or voice notes, which sync with Nothing’s Essential Space and can be transcribed automatically on Nothing OS devices.
Each earbud carries three microphones and a bone-conduction voice pickup unit, which aims to offer precise voice clarity. The TWS comes combined with AI-backed multi-channel noise cancellation, trained on millions of audio samples, and the system reduces environmental and wind noise effectively. The earbuds also offer adaptive noise cancellation of up to 45 dB.
On the audio front, Nothing has equipped Ear (3) with an upgraded 12mm dynamic driver and patterned diaphragm, delivering stronger bass, richer mids, and cleaner treble compared to the previous generation. Connectivity also gets a boost with Bluetooth 5.4, LDAC support, and a low-latency mode optimised for gaming and streaming.
In terms of design, the TWS retains Nothing’s signature look, but with a new antenna structure that improves connection reliability. The battery is also extended to 10 hours on a single charge and 38 hours with the case. Both earbuds and the case carry an IP54 rating.
The Nothing Ear (3) is priced at £179 / $179 / €179 and will be available in black and white. The India launch is also confirmed, though pricing will be revealed later.
