NASA is making space exploration more accessible, thanks to the collaboration with Netflix. This comes after NASA has announced that its free streaming platform, NASA+, will soon be available directly on Netflix, allowing viewers to watch real-time space missions, astronaut spacewalks, and stunning views of Earth from the International Space Station (ISS) as part of their regular subscription.
It is expected to launch later this summer and with this, the company aims to enhance its reach via modern platforms.
“Our Space Act of 1958 calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience,” said Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of NASA+. “Together, we’re committed to a Golden Age of Innovation and Exploration, inspiring new generations, right from the comfort of their couch or in the palm of their hand,” she added.

The NASA+ programming will still remain free on the NASA app and NASA gov, and will be integrated into the Netflix interface, offering users a seamless way to stream rocket launches, mission coverage, and live ISS views in high definition.
Starting later this summer, NASA+ programming will be available in the main Netflix interface alongside other series and live events.
You will be able to watch key NASA events in real-time, such as rocket launches, spacewalks, mission control broadcasts, and breathtaking live visuals from the International Space Station.
NASA+ streams are included in your Netflix subscription at no additional cost.
Do you prefer it free and standalone? NASA+ is still available without ads on the NASA app and NASA.gov.
It is worth noting that the exact programming schedules will be revealed closer to launch and the exact details still remain under the wraps.
