HCLSoftware and Sify Digital Services Limited have announced a partnership to launch a fully managed Sovereign AI solution, specifically for Indian businesses. The announcement was made on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam. This partnership aims to provide the organisations with an end-to-end artificial intelligence ecosystem hosted entirely in India. This aims to alleviate growing concerns about data sovereignty, particularly in heavily regulated industries, by ensuring local data residency and regulatory compliance.
Under this partnership, Sify will be offering the sovereign infrastructure layer, including compliant data centres, AI-ready platforms and foundation models. On the other hand, HCLSoftware will layer its India-developed enterprise applications on top, giving government and businesses the option to deploy AI tools within a secure and integrated stack.
Both companies will be offering the model as subscription-based managed services, giving businesses a chance to adopt AI without having to make infrastructure from scratch. This approach combines the infrastructure, AI models, and business applications into a unified, outcome-driven framework.
Executives from both companies stated that the collaboration combines Sify’s government-compliant data center capabilities with HCLSoftware’s enterprise software portfolio, which analysts such as Gartner and IDC have previously recognised in their respective categories. Sify is also expected to serve as a key managed service provider for customers who adopt the combined solution.
The partnership’s initial focus will be on AI-powered collaboration tools, intelligent IT operations, application security, and secure AI infrastructure access. Future plans include expanding the offering with additional platforms that will support the entire AI lifecycle, from development to deployment.
According to the companies, the initiative is aimed at industries such as banking and financial services, healthcare, and government, where compliance, performance, and data control are becoming increasingly important as AI adoption grows.
