Hikvision India launches Intelligent Electric Lock Series: What to expect

Hikvision India has launched their Intelligent Electric Lock Series which expands their Non-CCTV category for Smart Home Products. The new flagship DS-K4E100 was the headline product for this launch and this is everything we know about it so far.

Hikvision DS-K4E100: Key Details

The DS-K4E100 is a Pro Series Intelligent Electric Motor Lock designed for residential and commercial spaces. It has 6 distinct unlock modes – fingerprint, PIN, RFID Card, mobile app, mechanical key and remote OTP. The fingerprint recognition is said to be AI powered that unlocks in 0.3 seconds with a false acceptance rate of under 0.001%.

It supports universal installation so the lock works with left opening, right opening, interior and exterior doors without needing any extra steps for setup. It also auto locks after 9 seconds of opening if no one enters. More security features include a C-grade lock cylinder, tamper alarms and anti-peep PIN technology.

You can use the Hik-Connect app to manage the lock remotely and lock or unlock doors, view access logs or share temporary PINs for visitors as well. Select models come with a built-in camera and doorbell for video door phone integration. The lock is IP65 rated in-case of outdoor use and has a eight month battery life with a USB-C emergency power option. It is rated for a lifespan of over 500,000 operations.

The DS-K4E100 integrates with Hikvision’s existing camera, alarm, and video door phone ecosystem through the Hik-Connect platform, creating what the company calls a unified security setup. It is available now through Hikvision’s countrywide partner network. Pricing has not been officially disclosed yet.
