Google is now extending its Gemini AI Pro plan to Indian students for free for a year. For the uninitiated, the plan costs Rs 1,950 per month or Rs 19,500 per year, but it is free for students. Students will benefit from this move in a variety of ways, including increased storage, text-to-video capabilities, Gemini integration, and much more. Until now, students in the United States had the option of claiming the subscription for free.
If you’re interested in subscribing, here’s everything you need to know about the benefits, eligibility, and requirements.
After being verified, users will gain access to a suite of advanced tools that support academic productivity, including Gemini Advanced, Google’s most powerful AI model for summarising textbooks, generating first drafts, and assisting with arguments and ideas. It also includes Veo 3, which converts text to video for dynamic visual content, and NotebookLM Plus, which improves source-based summarisation with expanded audio overviews. Students will also receive Whisk Animate, which allows them to convert static images into short video clips, as well as Gemini integration in Gmail, Docs, and other applications, which helps students write, organise, and visualise their work. Last but not least, students will receive 2TB of Google storage across Drive, Gmail, and Photos.

As part of the deal, students can get a Google Gemini AI Pro subscription through the official link (http://goo.gle/freepro). Following that, students must enter information such as their school, name, date of birth, and student email address. After that, Google will review the application and, if eligible, you will receive the subscription.
It should be noted that the subscription is cancellable at any time.
