Gemini users worldwide are reporting an outage, with many taking to social media to express frustration over the disruption. According to Downdetector, a website tracking online service status, hundreds of users have filed reports in the last hour indicating issues with the AI chatbot. Users are unable to access Gemini for day-to-day tasks because the shared prompts are throwing an error.
The outage appears to have affected a significant number of users worldwide, including in India, where over 200 users have reported issues. According to the website tracking platform, the outage peaked at 7 PM, with hundreds of users reporting in the United States. The AI chatbot has received more than 55% of the complaints on the website, followed by server connection with 31% and the application with 2%.
Many users have also taken to X (formerly Twitter) to express their frustration while taking funny jibes on the outage. Gemini has yet to acknowledge the outage or release any official statement regarding the same. Here’s what users have to say:

Earlier in the day, Google Search and YouTube were reported to be throwing errors by several users on X (formerly Twitter). They shared the experiences of login failures, server connection issues, and website errors. According to Downdetector data, thousands of complaints were registered about the outage, as people were unable to access these platforms.
Meanwhile, the Gemini app has recently introduced the image editing model, Nano Banana, worked on by Google’s DeepMind. The new tool allows users to edit their images with a single prompt in the app.
