Bharat Taxi has announced the launch of its new Sarathi Didi service, a special facility designed to make travel safer and more comfortable for women travelling alone. This will allow female passengers to select only female Sarathi-driven rides through a special window on the Bharat Taxi app. The idea is to instil confidence in female passengers while also providing more employment opportunities for female drivers. This launch makes Bharat Taxi’s special business model even stronger. The company treats its drivers like owners and partners, not just workers. Because of this, every ride comes with a strong sense of responsibility and mutual respect.
The Sarathi Didi service is a dedicated feature in the Bharat Taxi app where solo women passengers will be matched with women drivers. When a female passenger books a ride, priority will be given to a woman Sarathi.
The service is designed to offer a secure and comfortable travel experience. It also aims to encourage more women to join the platform as Sarathis and become financially independent.

Along with Sarathi Didi, the platform owners have also introduced women-focused services such as scooty rides for women passengers handled by women drivers. Management says that the steps are expected to open new job opportunities and support women who wish to earn through flexible work.
Under its cooperative structure Bharat Taxi treats all the Sarathis including the Sarthi Didi as stakeholders. Furthermore, the Sarthi Didi riders can also become shareholders and take part in decision-making processes.

Bharat Taxi operates on a model where no commission is deducted from drivers’ earnings. Sarathis pay only a fixed charge, and their income is not reduced by extra cuts. The company has also clarified that no account will be shut down without a proper hearing. By integrating safety, transparency, and driver ownership, the company, Bharat Taxi, hopes to develop a balanced system that safeguards the interests of both the passengers and the Sarathis.
