Asus and G.Skill overclock DDR3 RAM to record high – 2500MHz

Updated on 05-May-2010

The fastest production dual-channel DDR3 RAM yet, Asus and G.Skill have overclocked G.Skill’s Trident RAM to 2.5GHz, or 2500MHz, using Asus’ P7P55D-E Deluxe and P7P55D-E EVO motherboards. The DDR3 RAM is custom-tailored for performance with Intel’s new Core i5/i7. So, if combined with the Core i7 980X and top-end graphics solutions like the ATI Radeon HD 5970 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 480, will possibly make the fastest platform yet as well.
