Grand Theft Auto VI, GTA 6, is one of the most talked-about video games right now. Ever since Rockstar Games confirmed that a new GTA title was in development, fans around the world have been eagerly waiting for official updates. Every official teaser, rumour, and leak related to the game quickly goes viral on social media, showing just how big the hype is. However, the wait has tested fans’ patience. Rockstar Games last month announced that the release of GTA 6 has been delayed once again. While this news disappointed many players, the company explained that the delay is necessary to ensure the game lives up to the high expectations.
From the release date to the expected India pricing, here’s everything we know so far about GTA 6.
Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA 6 will now launch on 19 November 2026, instead of the earlier release date of 26 May 2026. The game will first be released on consoles. Interestingly, Rockstar has not yet shared an official release timeline of the PC release.

GTA 6 will follow the story of two main characters, Jason and Lucia. Rockstar has described their journey in detail, stating: “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

Along with the main duo, GTA 6 will feature new characters, including Boobie Ike, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Dre’Quan Priest, Raul Bautista, and Real Dimez. The game returns to Vice City with modern graphics and a more alive and realistic environment. Rockstar has described GTA 6 as “the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
In India, the standard edition of GTA 6 is expected to be priced at around Rs 5,999, while special editions could cost Rs 7,299 or more. Leaked PC requirements suggest players may need at least an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, a GTX 1080 Ti or Radeon RX 5700 XT, 8GB RAM, and nearly 150GB of free storage space.
