We have known for a long time that GTA 6 will not be coming to PC on launch day. And this is the reason why there are countless memes on social media about console players eagerly awaiting November while PC players have no choice but to wait some more. Until now, Rockstar hasn’t officially said anything about a PC release but rumour mills have been at work nevertheless. Some are predicting that the game might launch on PC a year after console release (similar to what happened with GTA 5) while others are hoping that we might get to see the game on PC sooner.
But nobody has been asking one question that probably matters just as much – why is the game not coming to PC on launch day? And Take Two CEO Strauss Zelnick already has the answer.

In a conversation with Bloomberg, Zelnick was asked why the game isn’t coming to PC in November, when it is scheduled to launch on consoles. In response to this, he answered that Rockstar’s core audience is on console’s and launching the game on consoles first is something that the company has always done.
He said, ‘Rockstar always starts on console because I think with regard to a release like that you’re judged by serving the core. Like really serving the core consumer. If your core consumer isn’t there, if they’re not served first and best, you kind of don’t hit your other consumers.’
As mentioned already, we don’t have a PC release date for the game yet. And Rockstar hasn’t really confirmed if there will be a PC launch. Zelnick’s comment briefly hints at the same, but we would not get too excited unless something is confirmed officially.
As we inch closer to November 19, the launch date for GTA 6, Zelnick is getting more and more vocal about the game. At a recent gaming conference, Zelnick was seen talking about the game’s price. He had said, that the makers want to ensure that their customers are happy with the GTA 6 pricing and don’t feel like they overpaid. The game has to offer enough value to its players so that the players feel it was justified.
As for the price, there have been countless reports so far. Earlier, it was being said that the game could cost way more than normal, reaching or even crossing the USD 100 mark. However, after that, reports pointed out to a more accessible price point, somewhere between USD 80 to USD 100, which is somewhere between Rs 7,500 to Rs 9,500 for India. That said, nothing has been confirmed yet so we must take this information with a pinch of salt.
