For years, fans of the Grand Theft Auto franchise have been speculating, waiting, and digging through every possible leak to get a hint about the next big installment- GTA 6/ GTA VI. The first official trailer of GTA 6 was released in December 2023 which instantly became viral. It gave us a sneak peek at the game’s new characters, setting, and tone. Since then, Rockstar Games has stayed silent with no new updates.
Here’s everything we know so far about the most-awaited GTA 6 game.
According to leaks, GTA 6 is expected to be released on September 17, 2025. Initially, the game will likely be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S users. As for PC gamers, they might need to wait until 2026.
Reports suggest the standard edition could cost around Rs 5,999, while special editions might go up to Rs 7,299. Globally, the game is expected to retail for about $100, which translates to roughly Rs 9,000.

The game is expected to require at least an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, along with a GTX 1080Ti or Radeon RX 5700XT GPU. You’ll also likely need 8GB or more of RAM and a minimum of 150GB of free storage space.
GTA 6 will introduce Lucia, the first female playable character in the franchise. She’ll be joined by a male lead in a dual-protagonist narrative. The game is expected to feature smarter AI, upgraded physics, and enhanced graphics.
Rockstar is also planning to improve the Wanted system, with more realistic police chases and new stealth mechanics.

Word has it that Rockstar Games will release the second trailer of GTA 6 in late April.
According to Rockstar, GTA 6 “heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
