Gamers got a huge surprise in May when Rockstar Games suddenly dropped the second trailer of Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) on YouTube. The trailer quickly went viral and made waves across platforms like Instagram and X (formerly Twitter). Fans were amazed by the game’s realistic graphics, intense car chases, and new characters.
Since then, the hype around GTA 6 hasn’t slowed down. Everyone’s eager to know what’s next in one of the most popular gaming series. Here’s a quick look at everything we know so far about GTA 6.
The game will feature two main characters, Jason and Lucia. Rockstar describes their journey like this: “Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
Apart from Jason and Lucia, GTA 6 will introduce a range of new characters. Some of the names that have been revealed are Boobie Ike, Brian Heder, Cal Hampton, Dre’Quan Priest, Raul Bautista and Real Dimez.

The game is set in the state of Leonida. According to Rockstar, GTA 6 “heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”
GTA 6 will release on May 26, 2026. In India, the standard version is expected to be priced at Rs 5,999, while special editions could cost up to Rs 7,299 or more.
Although Rockstar hasn’t shared the official system requirements, leaks suggest you’ll need at least an Intel Core i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, GTX 1080 Ti or Radeon RX 5700 XT, 8GB RAM, and about 150GB of storage space.
