GTA 6 has been the talk of the town for weeks now, and the hype has just taken a dark turn. While Rockstar recently confirmed that fans will finally get an extended look at the game, premiering on Netflix on August 27 before hitting YouTube. However, ahead of the official reveal, leaked gameplay clips and a map of the game surfaced online, sending the community into a frenzy. Now, a so-called GTA 6 Cyberleek build has leaked online, claiming to offer fans early access to the game itself. However, it’s said to be a fake and laced with malicious code. Here’s everything we know so far about the alleged GTA 6 cyber leak version of the game and how you can stay safe.
As reported earlier, some gameplay footage from the upcoming GTA 6 leaked online, accompanied by an image showing the Leonida map. The leaked video and image were reportedly linked to a group calling itself Cyberleek. Several reports described the clips as seemingly authentic, while Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive responded with copyright takedown requests.
Amid the leak, a new listing for the Grand Theft Auto VI Cyberleek Gaming Edition has recently surfaced online, attracting many gamers. The listing allegedly claims to be the build that the leakers used to create the videos. However, several security users downloaded and tested the alleged GTA 6 build inside virtual machines and reported that it contains malware and could be harmful if installed directly on a device.

If you want to stay safe against the malicious GTA 6 Cyberleek build, then ensure that you do not download GTA 6 builds, cracks or beta files from Telegram, Discord, file-sharing sites or any other unknown links.
Aside from that, keep in mind to never disable your antivirus to run a supposed game installer. Do not enter your Rockstar email or banking passwords on the websites that promise early access to the game.

Ensure that you regularly update your operating system and security software as the company sends you builds for the new virus found.
