Special Ops season 2, the much-anticipated web series of Jio Hotstar, which was all set to premiere on 11 July, has been pushed till next week. The spy thriller launched in 2020 has gained immense popularity for its intriguing plot and powerful starcast, including Kay Kay Menon, who portrayed the role of RAW officer Himmat Singh. In the season, viewers will see the return of Himmat Singh, leading his team into a more complex kind of cyber warfare.

Special Ops Season 2 will now premiere on July 18, instead of July 11. The web series will be streamed exclusively on JioHotstar. Kay Kay Menon has posted a video on his Instagram account stating that due to certain circumstances that were beyond his control, this decision was taken. He also added that all episodes of the season will be premiered together.
Unlike traditional battlefield conflicts, Special Ops 2 will be based on the growing threat of cyber terrorism and digital warfare. Set against a volatile geopolitical backdrop, the series will showcase real-world concerns about national security in times when cyber breaches can destabilise entire nations. In the series, Himmat and his team will be seen dealing with a silent threat embedded deep within the digital ecosystem.

Kay Kay Menon will be joined by familiar faces from the first season, including Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Muzammil Ibrahim, Saiyami Kher, Gautami Kapoor, Parmeet Sethi, Kali Prasad Mukherjee and Meher Vij. The second season will also bring in new characters, with Tahir Raj Bhasin and Prakash Raj joining the cast.
