The wait is almost over for fans of Maharani, one of India’s most talked-about political dramas. After much anticipation, SonyLIV has officially announced the release date for Maharani Season 4. The trailer, which dropped earlier this week, offers a gripping glimpse into Rani Bharti’s (Huma Qureshi) next chapter. Created by Subhash Kapoor, this season takes the story beyond Bihar as Rani moves to Delhi, where new alliances, betrayals, and conspiracies await.
The narrative promises to dive deeper into the cutthroat political landscape, where survival depends not only on influence but also on wit and timing. Fans can expect familiar faces, bold dialogues, and the same fierce energy that made Maharani a standout success.
Maharani Season 4 will premiere exclusively on SonyLIV on November 7, 2025. Viewers will need an active SonyLIV subscription to stream the series online.
Set against the political backdrop of the 1990s, Maharani Season 4 follows Rani Bharti as she relocates to Delhi to strengthen her political footing. Her journey takes a dramatic turn as she challenges none other than the Prime Minister, showcasing her growing power and strategic brilliance. The trailer teases an intense face-off when the PM calls himself “the loneliest person in the country.” Rani’s quick-witted response questions how he can be lonely when “so many agencies and commissions come his way.” What follows is a tense exchange of political dominance, ending with Rani warning the PM to fasten his seatbelt as she enters the capital’s power corridors.
The season, directed by Puneet Prakash and created by Subhash Kapoor, promises explosive storytelling that intertwines ambition, betrayal, and empowerment. As SonyLIV’s official post teased, “The lioness returns to defend her home! Rani gears up for her biggest battle yet.”
