Movie lovers waiting for Dhurandhar 2 finally have some clarity about its online release, but the announcement comes with an unexpected development. While fans believed JioHotstar would secure the film’s streaming rights, Netflix has stepped in and confirmed that the sequel will start streaming internationally from May 15. The release date for viewers in India, however, has not yet been revealed.Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film continues the journey of undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Ranghi, who risks everything while operating secretly in Pakistan. The story combines espionage, political conflict, emotional drama, and high-energy action. The cast includes Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan in major roles.
For weeks, Indian audiences were expecting an announcement from JioHotstar regarding the movie’s digital premiere. Instead, reports suggest Netflix has officially confirmed that Dhurandhar 2 will arrive on the platform on May 15.
The streaming release, though, is currently limited to audiences outside India. Fans in the country will need to wait for a separate announcement about its domestic OTT launch.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge revolves around Indian intelligence officer Jaskirat Singh Ranghi, who enters Pakistan on a dangerous undercover assignment. The film explores the challenges he encounters while trying to establish himself within the country’s political system.
Apart from intense combat and chase sequences, the story also highlights the emotional bond between Hamza and Yalina. The sequel focuses on the spy’s secret intelligence network and the way he passes sensitive information back to India to help combat terrorist activities.
The narrative takes an emotional turn as several close allies are lost during the mission. Another major twist comes with the entry of Jameel Jamali, an Indian informant who secretly helps the King of Lyari escape safely to India.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge was created by Aditya Dhar, who handled both the writing and direction of the film. The movie features a strong cast, including Ranveer Singh as Hamza Ali Mazari / Jaskirat Singh Rangi, Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait, and Sanjay Dutt as S.P. Choudhary Aslam.
Other important actors in the film are Arjun Rampal as Major Iqbal, R. Madhavan as Ajit Sanyal, and Sara Arjun as Yalina Jamali. The supporting cast includes Rakesh Bedi, Danish Pandor, Saumya Tandon, Gaurav Gera, Manav Gohil, Naveen Kaushik, and Akash Khurana in key roles.
