Love and revenge are often shown together in movies, but Shaneil Deo’s new film Dacoit: A Love Story shows them in a very powerful way. The film is about a man who is deeply hurt by society and by people who betray him. Because of this, he reaches his breaking point. Rather than presenting a romanticised love tale, the film presents an arid landscape of emotions that are powerful and painful. It features elements of adventure and emotional turmoil. It is also concerned with what occurs when all one has left are one’s memories and the scars from the past. It is a bold look at how past scars can shape a violent future.
If you are someone who likes to watch films from their couches, then your wait is nearly over as you can stream this exciting drama from May 8, 2026, onwards. The official streaming platform for the film is Amazon Prime Video.
The film will have its release not only in its native language, Telugu, but will also be released in other languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
