Superstar Rajinikanth’s action-packed entertainer Coolie, hit theatres on August 14, 2025. The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has been drawing massive crowds since its release. As the fans continue to flock to theatres to catch Rajinikanth’s film, the film will have an OTT release too. However, those waiting for Coolie’s OTT release will have to wait a few more weeks for its OTT arrival. The filmmakers have already announced their Digital partner at the theatrical release.

Coolie has been confirmed to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video once it wraps up its theatrical run. The film, at its theatrical release, confirmed Prime Video as the official digital partner.
Although the exact streaming date hasn’t been announced yet, it is expected to hit OTT after the usual gap for major South Indian blockbusters, about eight weeks after its big-screen debut.
The film boasts a power-packed ensemble cast featuring Rajinikanth in the lead, alongside Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, and Aamir Khan (in a special appearance) in pivotal roles. The supporting lineup includes Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Rachita Ram, Reba Monica John, Kanna Ravi, Monisha Blessy, Kaali Venkat, Rishikanth, Tamizh, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Baburaj.
Veteran actress Shobana appears in a cameo as Deva’s wife, while Pooja Hegde appears in the song Monica.

Coolie is a high-octane action drama that follows Deva (Rajinikanth), a former daily-wage labourer who now runs a hostel-style mansion in Chennai. His life takes a dark turn when his close friend Rajasekhar dies under suspicious circumstances.
As Deva digs deeper, he uncovers a dangerous link to a criminal syndicate led by the ruthless kingpin Simon Xavier. With the odds stacked against him, Deva sets out on a mission of revenge, unearthing a shocking past connection between himself and Simon.
