As confirmed earlier, Realme has launched the Buds Air 8 in India. These are true wireless earbuds positioned for users who want stronger sound, high-resolution streaming, and deeper noise cancellation at an affordable price. The big pitch is a dual-driver design, Hi-Res support through LHDC 5.0, and ANC rated at up to 55dB, a set of features which is rare in this price segment. The Buds Air 8 bring an India-exclusive ‘Nature-Touch Master Design’, created in collaboration with designer Naoto Fukasawa. Here are the details.
The Realme Buds Air 8 sports a geometric case and softer materials meant to feel more natural in the hand.
The company is using a dual-driver layout, with an 11mm woofer paired with a 6mm micro-plane tweeter. The company says this helps separate bass and treble, so vocals and instruments sound clearer while low frequencies stay fuller. Dual DAC chips and N52 magnets, and a high-purity diaphragm are highlighted as part of the audio pipeline.
For wireless audio, the Buds Air 8 support Bluetooth 5.4 and codecs including LHDC 5.0, AAC, and SBC. So, like its predecessor, it supports LHDC 5.0 codec for higher bitrate streaming on compatible phones and apps, which should help retain detail in lossless and high-res tracks. Hi-Res certification backs that positioning.

ANC is rated up to 55dB, and calls get a 6-mic setup with AI noise reduction. The ANC threshold is above the Buds Air 7, which supports 52dB and its competitors like the CMF Buds Pro 2, which supports up to 50dB only. Gamers get a 45ms low-latency mode, which is better than 47ms on the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro. There is also 3D spatial audio, NextBass tuning, dynamic audio modes, and an IP55 rating for the earbuds. AI features include AI Live Translator and face-to-face translation support, powered by Realme’s voice assistant integration.
On battery, each earbud has a 62mAh cell. Realme claims up to 14 hours with ANC off from the buds alone, and up to 58 hours including the 530mAh charging case, again with ANC off. A 10-minute top-up is said to give up to 11 hours of playback. Full charging takes about two hours for the case and buds together.
The Realme Buds Air 8 are priced at Rs 3,799 in India. During the first sale, they will be available for Rs 3,599. Sales start on 16 January on Realme.com, Flipkart, Amazon India, and select offline stores. The colour options include Master Gold, Master Grey, and Master Purple.
