Google India is now offering replacement parts for the Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Buds Pro 2 directly through its online store. Until now, users had to submit a self-service form on the Google Support page to order replacement parts. With this update, users can now buy individual earbuds and eartips straight from the Google Store. The service is live in India, the US, and select other markets, giving existing owners an easier way to replace damaged or lost components.
In India, Pixel Buds 2a owners can buy a single replacement earbud for Rs 6,499, available in Iris and Hazel colour options. Google is also selling Pixel Buds 2a Replacement Eartips for Rs 1,900 in the Hazel finish, available in four sizes: extra small, small, medium, and large.
You can buy it this way:
Step 1: Visit Google Store India here.
Step 2: Go to the Accessories tab and then choose Pixel Buds 2a from the left side list.
Step 3: Choose Earbud/ Eartip
Step 4: Select preferences like colour, size, quantity, etc. At the time of writing this story, the replacement earbud was out of stock. Google says in fine print that ‘Replacements not available at all times and in all areas.’
Meanwhile, in the US, Google additionally sells a replacement case for the Pixel Buds 2a priced at $55 (around Rs. 4,837). This option is not available in India, though. US owners of Pixel Buds Pro 2 can also get individual replacement earbuds at $70 (about Rs 6,200), available in Porcelain, Hazel, Wintergreen, Peony, and Moonstone shades. Similarly, the Buds Pro 2’s replacement charging case is priced at $95 (roughly Rs. 8,400), and the eartips are listed at $20 (around Rs. 1,760).
There’s currently no confirmation on whether Pixel Buds Pro 2 replacement parts will be sold in India. Google also notes that colour options and availability may vary by region.
The Pixel Buds 2a, priced at Rs 12,999 in India, is positioned as the affordable model in Google’s lineup, yet it remains a premium purchase for many users in the market. The company’s latest move brings its after-sales experience closer to competing brands like Apple, which already sells standalone earbuds and accessories through its stores. Direct sales of replacement parts reduce turnaround times for users who lose or damage one side of the earbuds. For Indian buyers, this also signals Google’s growing focus on providing better post-purchase support for its hardware ecosystem, aligning with its broader device expansion strategy.
The Buds 2a, by the way, feature a lightweight design with a secure twist-to-adjust stabiliser, 11 mm drivers, ANC, and Google’s AI-powered audio tuning. The buds support Bluetooth Super Wideband, Clear Calling claims, hands-free Assistant access, and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity. Battery life extends up to 27 hours (with case) on a single charge without ANC.
