At its Fall event 2025, HP officially launched two new monitors under its Series 5 Pro line: the 14-inch portable Neo: LED monitor aimed at professionals on the move, and a 49-inch ultrawide conferencing display built for hybrid work setups. These devices address two distinct use cases: mobile creation and immersive workstation conferencing. The portable 14-inch model stands out by being one of the first commercial displays to use Neo: LED technology, which promises superior colour accuracy in a compact form. The 49-inch variant, on the other hand, differentiates itself with its 5 MP pop-up webcam and virtual multi-display software. These monitors are aimed at professionals with a hybrid work culture. Here are
The monitor flaunts a 14-inch IPS Black panel with Neo: LED backlighting, WQXGA (2560 × 1600) resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. Neo: LED is LG Display’s proprietary technology and is said to offer ‘100% Adobe RGB and Display P3 colour ranges’, while ‘consuming the same power as traditional IPS panels that only represent Display P3 areas’. So, you can expect professional-grade colour fidelity along with power efficiency.
The 14-inch monitor presents 400 nits of brightness and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. LG says the Neo: LED is ‘30% deeper blacks than conventional IPS panels’. This means you can expect sharp and clear details in dark scenes. The 400 nits should be sufficient for indoor use.
All of these in a slim, tablet-like portable build with a kickstand on the back. But the monitor can refresh at up to 75Hz only, and HP doesn’t highlight any gaming optimisations. So, it is designed for work and not competitive play.
On the front, you get a 49-inch VA panel with 5120 × 1440 resolution, 1800R curvature, and 32:9 aspect ratio. The display also features 99% sRGB, 8-bit colour depth, and 165Hz refresh rate. The high refresh rate ensures smooth desktop performance, though the limited colour gamut and 8-bit depth may be less suitable for some creators.
However, as it is in the name, the Conference Monitor with its ultrawide panel is positioned for work desks, and it comes with a 5MP pop-up webcam. So, you need not look for a separate webcam, and the pop-up mechanism should offer a clean look. Furthermore, the support for Virtual multi-display mode (allowing up to 2-3 split screens) and connectivity options like HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, Ethernet, USB hub, and KVM switch should be good for productivity.
HP is yet to announce the pricing and regional availability (including India’s) details. We just know that the 14-inch Portable Monitor should be available in December 2025, and the 49-inch monitor will be out in November 2025.
