WhatsApp is reportedly rolling out a dedicated phone call dialer feature for a range of iPhone users. As per WaBetaInfo citing the official changelog, the WhatsApp 25.1.80 update is now available on the App Store bringing this feature to more users. For the unversed, the feature was previously available to some beta testers on iPad. With this feature, the company aims to offer an easier way to place calls, directly from the application.

The feature can be accessed from the Calls tab offering an organised and efficient way to connect with their contacts. The new update comes with three key shortcuts including users can quickly initiate a new call, generate a call link, or manually dial a phone number. The dialer will also allow users to input phone numbers even if the contact number is not even saved in their Contacts.

Soon after the user enters the number, the Meta-owned instant messaging platform immediately checks whether it is linked to an active account. If the number is associated with a WhatsApp user, a confirmation will appear, along with a verification badge if the number belongs to a verified business account. The feature offers users more transparency and ensures whether their call will be connected via WhatsApp.

The users can also save a newly entered contact number to their contact list within the application. The application will also provide an option to start a chat with the entered number, giving users the ability to message before making a call.

So, this feature will help the users save a lot of time by eliminating the need to save the numbers in their contacts before reaching out. If you still have not got the feature, you may get it in the upcoming weeks. Till then, you are advised to keep your application updated.
