WhatsApp username linking

You can only claim a username on WhatsApp provided it’s available on Meta sites. When the username you have picked has been taken by someone else on either Instagram or Facebook, and you are not the owner, then you must come up with another one. However, if you own it, then you should confirm your ownership using the Accounts Center.

The system lets you link your accounts and confirm your identity when you claim a username. Keep in mind that using the same username across platforms can make it easier for others to find your linked profiles, so choose carefully.
