Google has teased the launch of ‘Play Pass’ – its Apple Arcade rival. The company took to Twitter to announce that Play Pass is coming soon. The service was spotted in testing earlier this year. It is said to provide access to hundreds of premium apps and games. The Google Play Twitter account posted a GIF to reveal the official logo of this service. Besides this, the tweet didn’t reveal much information.

"It's almost time," Google Play tweeted on September 9. "Google Play Pass is coming soon." The tweet also carries a graphical image that reveals the logo of its upcoming service, which looks like a raffle-ticket icon.

Google Play Pass was first reported to be in development last year. Now that Apple has revealed its Apple Arcade service, Google is gearing up to launch its own Apple Arcade rival, which will not only offer premium games but apps as well.

Early last month, Android Police posted a few screenshots shared by an anonymous user to give us a sneak peek at the development. One of the screenshot info page reads, "Explore a curated catalog spanning puzzle games to premium music apps and everything in between. From action hits to puzzles and fitness trackers, with Google Play Pass, you unlock access to hundreds of premium apps and games without ads, download fees or in-app purchases."

Google Play pass was “priced at $4.99 per month with a 10-day free trial during the testing period,” reports  9to5Google. “It was priced at $4.99 per month with a 10-day free trial during the testing period, though that might change before the public launch.”

Google Play is said to offer a dedicated section to browse apps included in Play Pass. All the content included in Play Pass will be free of advertising or in-app purchases, with all functionality unlocked.
