Evernote for BB10 updated with improved sharing tools and new Premium features

Popular note taking service Evernote has rolled out an update for Blackberry 10 users.

Evernote for BlackBerry 10 update, brings better sharing as well as premium features including offline notebooks and the ability to PIN lock access their notes. The new features will be available for the BlackBerry Z10, Q10 and Q5 smartphones.

Premium users get two new features, offline access as well as PIN Lock. Users will get access to offline notebooks while travelling even if they do not have data access or if their internet connection is spotty. The update also brings the ability to PIN lock access to their notes. Users can set a four digit pass code to access their notes from Evernote for additional security.

The new Sharing feature allows users to share any note, files, etc from their Evernote app with their friends and colleagues by tapping in to the Share screen. The new update allows users to copy the URL and share notes with other apps on their smartphone as well as share images and files from other apps to Evernote.

Evernote for BlackBerry 10 also adds Universal Search support for users. Apart from that the new update also brings performance enhancements and makes scrolling through notes much easier.

BlackBerry has recently announced that is has reached 131,708 apps for the Blackberry 10 OS. Alec Saunders, Vice President for Developer Relations announced that the Blackberry 10 OS has reached the number at the recent BlackBerry Jam conference in Hong Kong. Saunders added that Blackberry World has more than 256,000 apps for BlackBerry 10 OS and BlackBerry 7 OS combined.
