Getting a call from an unknown number can be annoying, especially when you can’t figure out if the call is for something important or just spam. Even though some telecom operators now show the name linked to unsaved numbers, many people still avoid picking up such calls. Samsung introduced the Call Screening feature as a solution for this with its One UI 8.5. The feature answers unknown calls for you and uses Galaxy AI to ask the caller their name and why they are calling. Their replies show up as live text on your screen. You can then decide whether to pick up, hang up, or keep screening. Samsung has also added Hindi support and brought this feature to more devices.

In order to make use of the Call Screening feature on Samsung mobiles, you should first download the language pack. In order to do so, here is what you need to do:
1. Open the Galaxy Store application on your mobile phone.
2. Tap the three lines at the top left corner of the screen and select Updates.
3. Check for a Language Pack update and download the file. Please remember that the language pack may take up to 2GB to install.
After downloading the Hindi language pack, here are the simple steps for enabling the feature:
1. Go to the Phone app > Settings > select the Call Screening option.
2. Ensure that the Call Screening option is enabled.
3. Choose the language that you wish to use, which includes Hindi if it is supported by your device.
4. When the next unknown number calls, you must choose the Call Screening option.
5. The Galaxy AI will prompt the caller to tell his name and reason for making a call.
6. You can see the answer in live text form on your screen.
