The steps to be followed to apply for a new PAN card from April 1, 2026:
1. Launch your web browser.
2. Head to the UTIITSL website and select PAN card services. Alternatively, you can also check out the Income Tax Department or Protean website.
3. Select the option that says PAN card for Indian citizen/NRI.
4. Choose the new form for applying for a new PAN card under the new rules.
5. Enter your details as they are mentioned in your Aadhaar card.
6. Upload your ID proof and date of birth documents.
7. Check all your details carefully before submitting the form.
8. Pay the fees and submit your application.
