SharkNinja launches Shark and Ninja brand of home appliances in India with Mumbai showcase

HIGHLIGHTS

Shark and Ninja have officially entered the Indian market.

The launch portfolio includes air fryers, a multicooker, blender, fan and wet-dry cleaner.

Products are now available on SharkNinja India and Amazon, with wider retail expansion planned.

SharkNinja APAC has officially launched its Shark and Ninja brands in India, bringing the company’s kitchen, cleaning and home comfort appliances to local consumers for the first time. The India debut was marked with a Mumbai showcase at Soraia Glasshouse, where the company presented its first wave of products through live demonstrations and an experiential format. The event brought together media, creators and celebrity guests as SharkNinja outlined its plans for one of the region’s largest consumer appliance markets.

The launch is a significant regional expansion for SharkNinja APAC, which operates the Shark and Ninja brands across Asia-Pacific markets. The company is entering India with a product-first strategy built around daily household use cases, particularly food preparation, healthier cooking, floor cleaning and personal cooling. SharkNinja said its products are designed around solving real consumer problems through performance, ease of use and continuous innovation.

Mrunmay Mehta, MD & Country Head – India, SharkNinja APAC, said, “With our brands Shark and Ninja, our philosophy is simple: we solve for real-world problems that others miss. Bringing this mission to India is an exciting and important step. We recognize the unique dynamics of Indian homes, and our commitment is to deliver 5-star rated, performance-driven solutions that positively impact our customers’ lives every day, in every home.”

The India portfolio begins with five key product categories. The Ninja Blast Portable Blender is aimed at users who want compact, on-the-go blending for protein shakes, fruit smoothies, fresh lassis and other quick drinks. It uses the company’s BlastBlade assembly and is positioned for consumers who want portable food preparation without depending on pre-packaged options.

The Ninja air fryer range includes two distinct models. The Ninja DoubleStack Air Fryer uses a vertical design to offer larger cooking capacity while occupying a smaller footprint, which could appeal to urban Indian kitchens where counter space is limited. The Ninja DualZone Air Fryer is designed around flexibility, allowing two different dishes to be cooked in separate zones and finish at the same time. Ninja is also citing its global position as the world’s top air fryer brand by retail volume sales in 2025, based on Euromonitor data.

Another major launch product is the Ninja Combi 14-in-1 Multicooker. The appliance combines superheated steam with rapid cyclonic air to cook mains, grains and vegetables across two levels. SharkNinja is positioning it around full-meal cooking, with examples such as biryani, idlis and paneer tikka, suggesting that the company has tuned its India messaging around local cooking habits rather than simply importing global product narratives.

On the Shark side, the company has introduced the Shark FlexBreeze Fan and Shark HydroVac. The FlexBreeze is a cordless fan with up to 24 hours of battery life, IPX5 water resistance and UV resistance. It is designed for indoor and outdoor use, including balconies, workspaces and areas where a conventional fan may not be practical. The HydroVac is a wet and dry cleaning device that can vacuum, mop and self-clean at the same time, with odour-neutralising technology and multi-surface support for hard floors and area rugs.

SharkNinja’s approach for India also leans on its global scale. The company says Shark and Ninja hold leadership positions in the US across floorcare and small kitchen appliances, backed by Circana retail tracking data. It also points to a portfolio of more than 5,500 patents and operations across 38 household sub-categories as proof of its broader product development base.

The products are now available through SharkNinja’s India website and Amazon India, with availability on more e-commerce platforms and retail stores expected to follow. The company is also reportedly evaluating local manufacturing under the Make in India framework as it expands its presence across the country.
