Mumbai Comic Con 2025
Mumbai Comic Con 2025 concluded the Comic Con India season in grand fashion, attracting over 54,000 enthusiasts for a two-day celebration packed with gaming, anime, comics, cosplay, and much more at the Jio World Convention Centre. The event was a melting pot of excitement, featuring high-profile booths, interactive experiences, celebrity appearances, and fan-driven activities.
Sony’s PlayStation booth was a major attraction, offering attendees a hands-on gaming paradise. Numerous PS5 consoles were available, giving visitors a chance to immerse themselves in blockbuster titles like FC25, Astro Bot, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and other popular PlayStation exclusives.
A highlight was a stylish turntable display showcasing the PlayStation 5 console surrounded by uniquely liveried DualSense controllers, PS Portal device, premium headsets, and an array of PlayStation accessories, making it a visually attractive centrepiece. Additionally, gamers had opportunities to try out VR games and interact with PlayStation experts who provided exclusive gameplay tips and demonstrations.
Beyond gaming, Mumbai Comic Con offered memorable experiences for all fans. Crunchyroll, as a key partner, hosted an engaging panel promoting One Piece’s Wano arc, with voice actors Kappei Yamaguchi (Usopp) and Hiroaki Hirata (Sanji) delighting fans through a live dubbing session, creating memorable moments and genuine fan interaction.
Warner Bros’ Superman experience and Final Destination activation thrilled attendees with immersive setups, offering elaborate props, photo ops, and themed games that brought these cinematic worlds to life. Marvel Studios provided interactive entertainment through its Thunderbolts recruitment centre and Fantastic Four retro photo booth, where fans eagerly lined up for unique photo opportunities. Sony Pictures celebrated nostalgia and action at their Karate Kid Legends zone, featuring interactive martial arts challenges and memorabilia displays that appealed to fans both old and new.
Gaming had a strong presence with Bandai Namco drawing crowds for its popular arcade attractions including the Funky Gator and Taiko no Tatsujin, alongside collectible merchandise. Ubisoft, Lenovo, Logitech, Riot Games, and Android showcased cutting-edge tech, creating engaging zones filled with gaming enthusiasts. Yamaha blended motorbiking excitement and gaming with its sports bike showcase paired with a MotoGP gaming arena.
Indie Game Utsav, a Mumbai-exclusive highlight, shone a spotlight on over 40 innovative Made-in-India games, attracting significant attention from gamers and industry insiders. The Chandrayaan VR experience and Royal Challenge’s cricket gaming zone offered interactive, high-tech fun, demonstrating India’s growing presence in digital entertainment.
Fans eagerly engaged in interactive gaming tournaments and tech showcases, emphasizing the robust and diverse gaming culture within India.
Cosplay was another standout feature, with over 5,000 participants signing up to showcase elaborate costumes and impressive makeup artistry, portraying popular characters like Deadpool, Spider-Man, Luffy, Satoru Gojo, and Batman. Competitions included regional qualifiers for the prestigious Indian Championship of Cosplay and the World Cosplay Summit, making for a vibrant and competitive atmosphere. Cosplayers also enjoyed dedicated workshops on costume creation, makeup application, and prop design, enhancing their craft and fostering community interaction.
The event’s main stage was buzzing with performances, comedy acts, and engaging panels. Stand-up comedy by Rahul Dua, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Rohan Joshi, Sahil Shah, and The Internet Said So provided continuous laughter and entertainment.
Musical performances by Geek Fruit, Mooz X Afsar, and DJ Kazu kept the energy high, complementing the diverse entertainment line-up. Additionally, interactive sessions allowed fans to participate in trivia contests, debates, and impromptu performances, making the experience truly interactive and memorable.
Comic book enthusiasts explored bustling stalls from publishers like Penguin Random House, where creators shared insights and signed exclusive editions. Indie comic creators also had a strong presence, offering fans unique and original content, adding depth to the comic book experience.
