Best Quad Camera Mobile Phones in India

Updated on 16-Sep-2023

The best quad camera mobile phones are versatile and are great for photography enthusiasts. While many phones just pack in 2 MP lenses to increase the camera count, there are a few phones on the market that have four lenses with each of them providing good quality images. The best smartphones with quad cameras typically make use of a high-resolution primary sensor paired with either a telephoto camera, periscope camera, ultra-wide-angle camera, macro camera or depth sensor. There are other types of cameras as well that you will find in some smartphones such as the ToF (Time of Flight) sensor or monochrome lens and it all depends on the phone manufacturer. However, it can get quite confusing to understand if the lenses on these phones actually produce good results, so we’re here to solve that for you. Here are the best quad camera mobile phones in the Indian market you can buy now.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra comes with a new 200 MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor with features such as 2x wider OIS, quad-pixel autofocus and more. The camera takes fantastic pictures in daylight, and even has amazing dynamic range in low light. There is also a new astrophotography mode on the S23 Ultra coupled with Astro Hyperlapse, that allows users to capture stars and their movement. You also get a 10 MP periscope telephoto shooter which allows for 10x optical zoom and another 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capabilities. There’s a 12 MP ultrawide shooter with Dual Pixel PDAF as well. All three complimentary lenses throw up good results in daylight and the zoom capabilities of the 10 MP periscope lens is the best in the market. Overall, this is a versatile quad camera setup, and the best one you can get in the market now.

  • Funtouch OS is loaded with bloatware, UI needs refinements

The Vivo X80 Pro is the successor to the Vivo X70 Pro+ and it gets all the major flagship features that you expect from a top-tier flagship device. It is a year old now but it still is a very powerful device. Vivo has put their proprietary V1+ chip in the X80 Pro which helps process AI-backed features and works in tandem with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The phone houses a quad camera setup including a 50 MP main lens, an 8 MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, another 12 MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom and a 48 MP ultra-wide shooter. The camera lenses have been coated with Zeiss T* coating that reduces glare and ghosting in photos. We actually got to experience that when we tested premium phones for our Digit Zero1 Awards where the Vivo X80 Pro had the best glare free low light photos. The telephoto lens also offers Gimbal stablisation which improves hand-held performance as well. It’s an extremely versatile camera that you can consider even in 2023.

Screen Size: 6.8u0022
Rear camera : 12 MP
Storage: 256GB
Battery capacity: 5000 (mAh)

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra comes with a versatile quad rear camera setup. Even though it is last year’s flagship, it is still very capable. It has a 108MP primary sensor leading the way. You also get a periscopic telephoto lens, a telephoto shooter, and an ultrawide lens. The selfie camera is a 40MP shooter. The primary camera is capable of clicking great photos in daylight and low light with good detail and colour but the ultrawide lens’ performance in low light could use improvement. It also doesn’t have as strong video capturing abilities as its successor, so you should keep that in mind.
