With smartphones evolving into multitasking computing units, we decided to take a look at the best mobile phones that over 4GB of RAM or more in India. These offer a great mix of all the crucial aspects in general, along with being the best of the lot in terms of performance and multitasking. The following eight smartphones have 4GB of RAM or more, along with offering the best of other features such as imaging, audio, battery life and screen quality. Although the prices of the products mentioned in the list given below have been updated as of 1st Mar 2021, the list itself may have changed since it was last published due to the launch of new products in the market since then.
While there are phones with more than 4GB RAM, it’s generally considered the minimum requirement to get a smooth experience. The 4GB RAM Redmi Note 7 Pro is one of the best phones offered at an affordable price. It’s highlight is the 48MP camera on the back, but it’s also well-known for the Snapdragon 675 under the hood which offers a better gaming experience. With 4GB RAM, the processor is able to function without any bottlenecks in performance.

The Realme 3 Pro with the Snapdragon 710 inside is also an excellent mid-ranger and the base variant with 4GB RAM is adequate for regular usage. Unless you are a heavy user with multiple apps always open in the background, the 4GB RAM variant is more than enough to get you through the day. There’s a dual camera stack on the back with the primary sensor same as the OnePlus 6T.

The Samsung Galaxy M-series have transformed the way Samsung phones are perceived in the mid-range segment and the Galaxy M40 is the best of the lot. The phone is well designed and well built and offers a punch-hole display on the front along with a triple-camera stack on the back. The Galaxy M40 runs on the Snapdragon 675 and comes in a 4GB RAM that’s quite affordable and is enough to get you through the day.

The Vivo Z1 Pro is the official smartphone for PUBG Mobile Club Open and as such, it comes with a host of features built for better gaming on the device. The Vivo Z1 Pro also features a triple-camera stack on the back and a punch-hole display. It looks nice. But more importantly, it has a Snapdragon 712 SoC inside, which combined with just 4GB RAM is enough to power through long gaming sessions.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 is a flagship smartphone which is offered in a 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage. It’s not really adequate if you want the true flagship experience but if you are on a budget, the 4GB RAM variant will do just fine. The Galaxy S10 offers one of the best display among smartphones with HDR10+ certification and a punch-hole camera. On the back is a triple-camera setup that has also become a benchmark to beat.

With pure stock Android and an industry-leading camera (thanks to Google’s computational photography chops), the Pixel 3 XL is an excellent flagship, even though it’s now a tad old. It runs on the Snapdragon 845 with 4GB RAM which is more than enough to power through anything you throw at the device. Google has tuned the software to an extent that there’s always decent amount of free resources available no matter what you do and so far in our usage, it still hasn’t slowed down even after a year.
