The iQOO Z10 is a solid value-for-money device under Rs 20,000. You get unmatched battery life, a great display, and smooth performance. Yes, there are a few compromises- 60fps gaming, average haptics, and a camera setup that is just decent. If you are someone who can live with these trade-offs, then it is a good deal for you. For someone looking for a reliable, long-lasting, and fast mid-range phone, the iQOO Z10 is a great choice.
iQOO Z10 Review: After the launch of the iQOO 13 and the iQOO Neo 10R, the company has now launched the iQOO Z10. It has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 19,999 and promises impressive specifications. It features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, this smartphone is packed with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. And the highlight of this phone is that it features a massive 7,300mAh battery with 90W charging support. If you are looking to buy the phone, read my review as I tell you what I like about this phone, what I didn’t like, and if it fits right for your needs or not.
The iQOO Z10 packs a massive 7,300mAh battery, but despite that, it is surprisingly sleek. It weighs under 200g and measures just 7.89mm in thickness, making it one of the slimmest phones with a big battery.
The curved corners are gamer-friendly and don’t poke into your palm during long sessions. The phone has a plastic back and Schott Alpha Glass on the front, and it also boasts an IP65 rating.
The Z10 sports a 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is bright, sharp, and colour-accurate: all the things you’d expect from a good AMOLED display.
Watching videos on Netflix or Prime Video is a pleasant experience thanks to HDR support. In our display tests, the display hit 1095 nits in manual brightness and 2250 nits in auto peak brightness.
Plus, an average Delta E of 0.9 in the sRGB colour space means that the display is excellent for media consumption.
On the performance front, the iQOO Z10 is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. In AnTuTu, it scores over 800,000, outshining competitors like the Nothing Phone 3a and Motorola Edge 60 Fusion. It also holds up well in Geekbench, with only a slight lag behind in multi-core tests.
I also ran the CPU throttling test on it to check its stress management capabilities. It showed zero throttling, maintaining peak performance over 15 minutes.
Gaming is smooth, too. BGMI ran at 60fps for 30 minutes without any major heating, the phone only reached around 35°C. However, it’s worth noting that the 60fps cap might disappoint those expecting higher frame rates in gaming.
On the software front, the iQOO Z10 runs on Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15. While the software experience is clean and fluid, iQOO still has some work to do in terms of polishing the UI and haptic feedback.
The haptics feel average and don’t give the premium vibe you might expect. That said, the overall navigation is responsive, and app management is efficient.
The cameras on this phone are a mixed bag. The main sensor delivers decent results in daylight, with good colour reproduction and sharpness.
Portraits, thanks to the 2-megapixel depth sensor, look surprisingly good with natural background blur and accurate edge detection.
But selfies are a weak point; there is facial smoothing and inconsistent colours.
The iQOO Z10 has a massive 7,300mAh battery that is the highlight of this phone. In our PCMark battery loop test, it lasted 24 hours while only draining to 20%. With light to moderate use, you can easily expect 2+ days of battery life.
And when it does run low, the 90W fast charging gets you from 0 to 100% in just 53 minutes. Plus, there’s support for reverse wired charging, turning the Z10 into a backup power bank if needed.
