LG Electronics India Ltd. has announced the launch of its 2025 television range, featuring upgraded OLED evo and QNED evo models. These new smart TVs incorporate LG’s latest Alpha AI Processor Gen2, aiming to deliver enhanced personalisation, improved image and sound quality, and an upgraded smart interface.
The announcement was made by Brian Jung, Director of Media Entertainment Solutions at LG Electronics India. “With our 2025 OLEDevo and QNEDevo line-up, we are not just introducing new TVs, we are introducing smarter companions that understand our users, adapt to their preferences, and elevate their everyday experiences,” Jung said, emphasising LG’s focus on personalisation through artificial intelligence.
At the core of the new line-up is the Alpha AI Processor Gen2, designed to enable more intuitive and tailored user experiences. The included AI Magic Remote now features a dedicated button for voice recognition. The TV greets users via ‘AI Welcome’, while ‘AI Voice ID’ recognises individual users and automatically switches profiles and recommendations.
Additional features include AI Concierge, which curates content based on viewing habits, and AI Search, powered by a Large Language Model (LLM), which interprets conversational queries. The AI Chatbot offers basic troubleshooting assistance, while AI Picture Wizard and AI Sound Wizard provide guided setups based on user preferences.
The new OLED evo TVs incorporate the Brightness Booster Ultimate system for improved luminance. Equipped with the Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen2, the TVs upscale lower-resolution content and employ Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro for HDR optimisation. Notably, a new Filmmaker Mode with ambient light compensation adjusts picture quality based on room lighting conditions.
The OLED evo range supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, with AI Sound Pro enabling virtual 11.1.2 surround sound and vocal clarity enhancement.
The QNED evo models feature Mini LED technology and LG’s proprietary Dynamic QNED Colour solution, aiming to deliver accurate colour reproduction under varying lighting conditions. Light control improvements and AI-based processing support deeper contrast and refined detail.
These models also offer virtual 9.1.2 surround sound and personalised audio profiles via AI Sound Pro. Real-time optimisation of visuals and audio is enabled by the Alpha AI processor at a zone level.
The 2025 line-up includes LG’s updated webOS platform with the ‘webOS Re:New’ program, which provides OS upgrades to ensure continued feature updates. The redesigned interface supports multiple user profiles and faster navigation.
The OLED evo models support 4K resolution at up to 165Hz, along with NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium compatibility. Game Optimiser allows profile switching based on genre.
The 2025 range includes a variety of models in both ultra-large and standard sizes. Notable models and pricing include:
According to the company, the TVs have already received recognition, including the CES 2025 Best of Innovation Award and an Honoree title in the Video Display category for the OLED83G5 model.
