The company aims to offer enhanced network and connectivity all over the country, specifically in the remote and rural areas wherein the traditional internet infrastructure remains unsuccessful.
Starlink will be offering high speed connectivity through the constellation of low Earth orbit satellites. According to reports, Starlink’s initial setup costs in India could range from Rs 33,000 to Rs 35,000, and the monthly plans without data usage limits are reportedly priced at Rs 3,000. If true, this will still be placed in the premium category compared to the existing internet providers and can create challenges for the company’s operation. Few reports also suggest that it may offer the services at more competitive rates.
The rumours also suggest that the company may offer a one-month free trial with each device purchase.
If the reports are believed to be true, the company may offer a low latency internet with speed in between 25 Mbps to 200 Mbps, with an average speed of around 100Mbps. However, the exact speed may vary depending on the location. For the unversed, Starlink is currently available in over 100 countries at the moment.
