BSNL Quantum 5G FWA Service launched
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has just started rolling out its Quantum 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service plan in India. Priced at Rs 999 per month, the service is currently available in select cities and circles, including Hyderabad. The company has introduced its 5G services on June 18. Unlike traditional mobile 5G, this Q-5G FWA service is designed for enterprise and home broadband users. It is claimed to offer high-speed internet without requiring SIM cards or wired connections. Here’s everything to know
Starting at Rs 999 per month, BSNL’s new Q-5G FWA service is said to offer a minimum speed of 100 Mbps. Further, the company is also offering a Rs 1,499 monthly plan with speeds of up to 300 Mbps.

BSNL’s new Q-5G FWA service is said to offer services in tier-2 and tier-3 cities where optical fibre cables are not accessible. The network operator’s newest service is designed to deliver high-speed internet to businesses, offices and residential areas where the network is patchy or absent.
However, unlike normal 5G services offered by Airtel, Jio and Vodafone Idea, BSNL’s Q-5G FWA does not support voice calls. This means users won’t be able to make calls. It will be similar to Airtel Xstream Fiber and Jio AirFiber, which offer fast internet connectivity without SIM or wires.
Notably, BSNL will install Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) on the customer’s rooftop and deliver 5G connectivity using a router. For more details on availability and installation procedures of BSNL Q-5G FWA services, users can either visit BSNL’s official website or contact their local BSNL office.
