Bharti Airtel has launched a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 189 for casual users, offering unlimited voice calling, data pack and other benefits. Though not officially announced, the plan is now live on the company’s website and app. The plan aims to target users seeking short-term validity under Rs 200. With this recharge plan, the Airtel prepaid users now have two offerings priced under Rs 200. Here’s everything from validity to benefits and other details about Airtel’s newly launched prepaid plan.
The Rs 189 plan includes unlimited voice calls across all networks, 1GB of mobile data, and 300 SMS for the entire 21-day validity period. It is useful for light users who primarily need calling services and send occasional messages, rather than for data-intensive tasks such as video streaming or app usage.
With this launch, Airtel seems to be focusing on customers in rural and semi-urban areas, as well as users with secondary SIM cards or those simply looking to keep their number active at minimal cost.
Although the Rs 189 pack caters to minimal users, Airtel also offers another Rs 199 prepaid plan with better value and longer validity.
The Rs 199 recharge plan offers the same 1GB of data and unlimited calling, but extends the validity to 28 days and includes 100 SMS per day. For just Rs 10 more, it offers a better value for users with slightly higher needs.
