YU starts rolling out Android Nougat 7.1.1 for Yureka Black

The Yureka Black was launched back in June and the company had assured its consumers of updating the phone to Android Nougat

Yu Mobiles has started rolling out the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update for the Yu Yureka Black smartphone. The Nougat update brings a host of new features like new emojis, expanding app shortcuts, raise-to-wake function and much more. In order to update their phones, the users need to open Settings, click on About Phone, tap on Software Update.

The Yu Yureka Black sports a 5-inch Full HD display with a 2.5D curved glass design and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit processor. It features 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The Yureka Black sports a metal unibody design and was launched at a price of Rs. 8999. The device has a 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash and the front camera is 8MP with selfie flash.

Micromax has recently launched the Micromax Canvas Infinity with an 18:9 display. During the launch, Rahul Sharma, Co-Founder of Micromax, said that there might be about 10 to 15 phones coming from Micromax in 2017. However, he also noted, that while its Yu brand will remain online focused. However, he also noted that neither of the two brands is going to launch any smartphones with a Snapdragon 835 chipset.
