Xiaomi is reportedly going to launch the next-generation flagship lineup in its home country. While the official details are not out yet, the rumours have shed light on what the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max could look like. If the renders are believed to be real, the device may get a similar design, but the top-end model may debut with a small rear screen next to the camera.
The Xiaomi 17 series could launch later this month and may include the Xiaomi 17, 17 Pro, and 17 Pro Max. All these variants are said to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which will be announced next week. The company is said to retain its Leica partnership for cameras.
Xiaomi is said to offer a second screen on the camera bar, similar to the Mi 11 Ultra’s mini display. It will reportedly be called Magic Black Screen, and the panel may support widgets like a clock or photo memory. However, the practical use remains unclear at the moment.

The leaks also suggest that the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max could get a 50MP primary sensor with an f/1.67 aperture and an ultrawide lens offering a 17mm focal length. The device may offer a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. It may offer brighter zoom shots, better low-light shots, and more natural depth effects.
Previously, Xiaomi’s Mobile Phone Department President, Lu Weibing, confirmed the lineup and also shared the teaser. It must be noted that the official launch date, price range, and specifications remain under wraps.
