Xiaomi has officially pulled the wraps off its next-generation flagship lineup, the Xiaomi 17 series, in China, including three models the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The smartphones are expected to debut soon in India with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and the company’s latest HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. Here’s everything we know about the Xiaomi 17 Pro India launch and other key details.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro in India is expected to ship with same features as its Chinese model. It may come with a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 12-bit colour depth, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. A standout feature is the 2.7-inch secondary rear display, allows users to take selfies, control music, or check notifications without flipping the phone. The handset comes in Black, White, and Cold Smoke Purple finishes and carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB UFS storage. The phone could pack a 6,300mAh battery supporting 100W wired, 50W wireless, and 22.5W reverse charging.
On the camera front, Xiaomi continues its collaboration with Leica, equipping the 17 Pro with a quad-camera setup featuring a 50MP primary sensor, 50MP ultra-wide, 50MP 5x periscope telephoto, and a ToF sensor for depth detection. On the front, it may house a 50MP selfie camera.
In an interaction with Digit and Times Now Tech, Xiaomi India CMO Anuj Sharma confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 series will launch in India in Q1 2026. While he didn’t specify which variants will debut first, the Xiaomi 17 Pro is expected to arrive between February 15 and 28, 2026.

In China, the Xiaomi 17 Pro starts at CNY 5,000 (around Rs 59,000). The Indian version, factoring in taxes and import costs, could be priced at approximately Rs 69,999.
