Xiaomi 15 Ultra
Xiaomi will unveil the Xiaomi 15 Ultra in China today. The Indian launch of the flagship smartphone is scheduled for March 2, 2025. The main highlight of the smartphone is going to be its cameras. Just like previous years, the cameras have been co-engineered with Leica. Ahead of the launch, Xiaomi has officially confirmed key details about the Xiaomi 15 Ultra’s camera system. The camera specs look promising, let’s take a look at what Xiaomi has revealed about the cameras on its upcoming Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra will carry a quad camera setup with a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with an f/2.6 ultra-wide aperture, a 1/1.4-inch sensor, and a 100mm focal length equivalent. With this setup, Xiaomi promises enhanced zoom performance and exceptional clarity in low-light conditions.
Along with this, Xiaomi is also introducing its “Summicron Ultra-Pure Optical System”, designed in partnership with Leica, to improve light intake and image sharpness.
For now, that’s all Xiaomi has confirmed. However, there are other things that we know about the device, thanks to leaks.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra can carry a dual-tone back panel, blending glass and vegan leather, and is inspired by classic Leica cameras. Beyond its camera, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.73-inch 2K micro quad-curved display, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, 16GB RAM, and Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0. A 6,100mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless charging is also rumored.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is expected to launch at CNY 6,499 in China, which translates to approximately Rs 78,000. It directly competes with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Its official Indian prices, however, remain uncertain.
