WinMo HTC HD2 gets Android 2.1 and 2.2 ports, with Sense UI

With dreams of open devices floating around, it is a thing of wonder to see what the HTC HD2 is capable of. A phone that originally ran Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional, got an upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5.3, and now, has simple no-jailbreak-required ROMs for Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 – the HTC HD2 will do all this, the ports complete with HTC’s Sense UI.

Perhaps the best news, definitely for HTC HD2 owners, is that you can have the smug satisfaction knowing the nine month old Windows phone can keep up with the current competition.
