Windows Phone 7 rumoured to launch October 21st; gets its first advertisement [video]

Updated on 27-Sep-2010

Looks like Windows Phone 7 will hit markets just as announced nearly two months ago, with presently circulating rumours of an October 21st launch in Europe (specifically France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom), and a November 8th launch in the United States. Initially an October 11th event in New York was thought to be the official WP7 introduction, though now it’s considered an unrelated event.

Advertisements of one of the expected Windows Phone 7 devices, the HTC Mondrian, have also been leaked. Check them out below, and let us know… does WP7 get your antennae up?

The HTC Mondrian was seen a while back, and is expected to feature a 4.3-inch 800×480 touchscreen, 5MP camera, 720p HD video recording, 8GB internal storage, and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The adverts look to sell the take-it-all-in-a-glance Metro UI of Microsoft’s latest mobile operating system.
