Vivo has recently launched its X500 series in the home market and is expected to launch it in the Indian as well as the global market soon. The Vivo X500 lineup current sports the standard Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro and the Vivo X500 Pro Max. However, the reports now suggest that the Chinese manufacturer is gearing up to add the Ultra model to the lineup as early as 2027. Vivo has previously confirmed that the handset is in development but has refrained from sharing any details for the upcoming device. According to a recent report by ITHome, Vice President of Product Huang Tao told them that the company will announce its upcoming Vivo X500 Ultra in the home market next year. Leaks and rumours have also pointed out that the handset could make its debut in the home market in late March or early April in 2027 following a global launch. However, Vivo has not officially confirmed the launch timeline yet, so the details should be treated as leaks and rumours for now.
The Vivo X500 Ultra could be priced between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 2 lakh. Do note that these are not the official pricing, and they will only be revealed at the time of launch and may differ from the speculative prices.
While nothing is confirmed yet, the Vivo X500 Ultra might launch with a 6.89-inch LTPO AMOLED display paired with a 144 Hz refresh rate. The screen is also expected to support HDR10+.
Under the hood, the phone could use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. It may also sport up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage. Out of the box the handset is expected to run on Android 17.

In terms of optics, the leaks suggest that it may get a triple rear camera setup, including a 200MP main sensor, a 200MP telephoto lens and a 200MP ultrawide camera. For selfies and video calls, it may get a 100MP front camera. It’s also rumoured to come packed with a 7,500 mAh battery, which might be supported with a 120W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
