Vivo is gearing up to refresh its flagship smartphone market globally. Moreover, the next flagship smartphone lineup from the Chinese manufacturer has started appearing online. The Vivo X500 series is expected to include the standard Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro, and a new Vivo X500e. The upcoming range is expected to replace the Vivo X300 lineup that debuted last year. Interestingly, Vivo may completely skip the X400 branding, a move often linked to tetraphobia in China, where the number four is considered unlucky. While Vivo has not confirmed any details yet, early leaks already point toward major upgrades in display quality, camera hardware, battery life, and chipset performance across the new flagship range.
The Vivo X500 and X500 Pro are expected to continue the brand’s focus on premium cameras and powerful hardware. Leaks suggest the standard X500 could feature a compact 6.3-inch to 6.4-inch display, while the Pro model may arrive with a larger 6.8-inch to 6.9-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel. Both phones are tipped to support refresh rates of up to 144Hz along with 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensors.

Vivo is also expected to continue its partnership with MediaTek for the new lineup. The X500 series could run on the upcoming Dimensity 9600 chipset, which is rumoured to be based on a 2nm process. The focus may be more on better efficiency, smoother sustained performance, and improved AI handling rather than just raw speed.
On the camera front, Vivo is reportedly testing a new 50MP LOFIC sensor designed to improve dynamic range in difficult lighting conditions. There is also the possibility that the Vivo X500 Pro would have a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. Other possible improvements would be on the battery side, where both the X500 and X500 Pro would reportedly have batteries exceeding 7,000mAh and would also have 100W fast charging.

Vivo has not officially revealed the X500 series yet. However, leaks suggest that the devices could launch later this year, possibly around October, based on Vivo’s past launch timeline. Some reports, however, suggest the launch could happen earlier.
The Vivo X500 may be priced at around Rs 59,999, while the Pro version could cost even more. The X500e is expected to be the most affordable model in the series.
