Vivo has just introduced the X Fold 5 in the Chinese market and is touted to introduce the device in India and other markets early next month along with the Vivo X200 FE. While these are just rumours, the Chinese moniker has impressed the tech giants with its on-paper specifications. The device offers a tuned triple camera setup, Snapdragon 8 series processor, and OLED panel with a massive battery for a foldable.

As per the reports, the Vivo X Fold 5 is said to launch in India in the second week of July. While the exact launch date remains under wraps, the device is expected to launch with Vivo X200 FE between July 10 to July 15.
The Vivo X Fold 5 India variant is said to get similar specs as the Chinese moniker. If true, the device is said to feature a 6.53-inch OLED cover screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,800 nits peak brightness. The device may come powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and may come paired with LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. It could be backed by a 6,000 mAh battery with 80W charging support and 40W wireless charging. It may ship with Android 15.

As for the camera, the device could get a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera along with a 50MP ultrawide and 50MP Sony IMX882 OIS 3x periscope telephoto lens. On the front, the device is said to come with a 20MP selfie camera.

If compared with the Chinese variant, the Vivo X Fold 5 base trim with 12GB RAM and 256GB internal storage can be priced at around Rs 83,800. The top variant could be priced at Rs 1,14,000. However, due to the variations, the device could be priced more in the Indian market. To recall, the Vivo X Fold 3 was introduced at Rs 1,59,999 in India and the X Fold 5 is also expected to be priced on similar lines.
