Amid the X500 series leaks, Vivo is now gearing up to expand the V series lineup in India with the Vivo V80. The company has now started teasing the device, which means it may launch anytime soon. While the company has not announced the Vivo V80 launch date in India yet, early reports suggest that the V80 will continue Vivo’s focus on cameras while bringing a larger battery and a faster display. The phone is also expected to feature a ZEISS-tuned camera system, Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and AI-powered photography tools. Check expected launch timeline, price and specs.
Vivo has confirmed that the V80 is coming to India but has not revealed its launch date. Recent reports point to the first week of October, with October 6 currently listed as an expected date by some tracking platforms. The company has already shown an orange-coloured version of the phone in its teaser.
The Vivo V80 is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits of peak brightness. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and pack a 7,200mAh battery with 90W charging.
For photography, the phone is expected to get a ZEISS-branded triple rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide camera and 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. A 50MP autofocus selfie camera is also expected. Other reported features include IP68 and IP69 ratings, Android 17-based OriginOS 7 and AI Creative Camera tools with more than 30 effects.
The Vivo V80’s India price has not been confirmed. Current reports put the expected starting price at different levels. We expect the device to be priced somewhere between Rs 55,000 and Rs 60,000.
