Vivo is reportedly all set to introduce the V80 in the Indian market. The device is said to bring a bigger battery and a stronger focus on AI-powered photography and content creation. While Vivo has remained tight-lipped about the official launch date, the reports suggest it could introduce several camera features inspired by Vivo’s flagship X series. Here is everything that we know about the Vivo V80 based on the latest leaks.
The Vivo V80 may bring an AI Creative Camera with more than 30 effects aimed at helping users create social media-ready images and videos directly from the camera app. There can be a Live Sticker Collage feature which may also let users combine photos and stickers into customised creations.
The company is also reportedly planning to introduce Diwali Portrait mode, dubbed AI Diwali Portrait 2.0. The feature is expected to build on the festive photography tools introduced with earlier V-series smartphones.
Speaking of the camera, the device may offer a 50-megapixel ZEISS telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom and up to 10x Portrait Zoom. The phone is also tipped to support 4K Cinematic Video with built-in colour grading and multiple movie-style presets.
Previous leaks also suggest that V80 may offer a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 6,000 nits peak brightness. The phone may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The device may also offer a 7,200 mAh battery with fast charging support. The device may also offer IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
Reports currently suggest a starting price above Rs 60,000, with the smartphone expected to launch in the first week of October. However, these are early leaks and we may have to wait for the official announcement to know more.
