Vivo-V40
After launching its high-end Vivo X200 series in India, Vivo is gearing up to launch the successor to its V-series smartphones in India. The Vivo V50 series is expected soon and the company has already started to tease the new drop in India. The company has shared how a new smartphone is coming with Zeiss-powered optics and how it is “Coming soon to capture your forever.” While the company has not officially announced the launch date, a leaked promotional poster suggests that the device will debut on February 18.
The teaser and the leaked image also give us a hint at what we can expect from the design language of the upcoming Vivo V50. It is expected to feature a curved-edge display and a centrally positioned punch-hole camera. Leaked renders also show a Rose Red colour variant with a sleek frame. Notably, the Vivo V50 Pro was not mentioned in recent leaks, this has raised comments about whether the Pro variant might launch later or not at all.
The Vivo V50 is expected to pack a 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate. It can run on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset along with Funtouch OS, based on Android 15. It can feature a dual camera setup with two 50-megapixel sensors. We can also get to see a 6,000mAh battery with 90W charging support.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav claims that the Vivo V50 could be priced at Rs 37,999 for the base variant, with the overall pricing kept under Rs 40,000. This positions it slightly above the Vivo V40, which launched in India at Rs 34,999.
For now, let’s take this information with a pinch of salt as official communication is expected soon.
